This cam kit contains camshaft and sixteen (16) valve lifters. Camshaft specifications are as follows. VALVE LIFT (w/1.5 rockers). NOTES:Strong torque and good mileage.

Terrific RV and towing cam. Don't pay those inflated prices for "BIG brand" cams!

FLAT TAPPET CAMSHAFTS REQUIRE A ZINC ADDITIVE WITH EVERY OIL CHANGE, OR THERE WILL BE PREMATURE FAILURE OF THE CAM. WE OFFER ZDDP4 ADDITIVE, AND IT IS INCLUDED IN SOME, BUT NOT ALL OF OUR CAM KITS. IT IS READILY AVAILABLE AT YOUR LOCAL PARTS HOUSE. (This does not apply to roller cam applications) NOTE: ALL FLAT TAPPET CAMS REQUIRE ZINC ADDITIVE WITH EVERY OIL CHANGE, INCLUDING WITH BREAK-IN OIL. THIS IS FOR ALL NON-ROLLER CAMS.

CAM FAILURE WILL RESULT FROM NOT USING A ZINC ADDITIVE, AVAILABLE AT YOUR LOCAL PARTS HOUSE. Important note: Technically a flat tappet cam will fit in the block of a later roller camshaft application, however it constitutes a conversion from roller cam back to flat tappet cam.

Compatibility is only for general reference. Cars after 1987 were no longer using flat tappets. Trucks after 1996 (VIN K) shifted to roller cams as well.
